JGTAI Scores Through 8 Weeks

Here they are, your JGTAI Scores through 8 weeks. Teams in Yellow are Top 10ers, and are eligible for a bonus prize. Teams in Green would also earn an invite. Teams in orange are right on the bubble and really need to get their butts out to quizzo this week, and teams in blue have some work to do this week, but still have a shot. If anybody wants to make a last minute run towards getting an invite, there is still one last week and a new physical challenge up on facebook. A good way to earn 5 big points.

1929 World Series Starts Today!

Last year, I had a lot of fun carrying the 1911 World Series as if it were live. This year I’m fast forwarding a few years, to 1929, when the Mighty A’s took on the Chicago Cubs, who were trying to break a 21 game World Series drought. Analysis, interviews, and awesome photos, the goal is to cover the Series as if I had a sports blog at the time and was covering it live. If you’re a baseball fan, I assure you, it’s gonna be a lot of fun. Click here to see our “sponsors”, how much tickets cost, and who the unlikely hero of Game 1 was.

JGT and the Philadelphia Union

I hosted a quizzo for the Philadelphia Union recently that went on the air Sunday before their match. A few notes before you watch: first of all, both of these guys, Chandler Hoffman (below right) and Antoine Hoppenot (below left), were really cool dudes. We had a lot of fun with the shoot. Secondly, Chandler was correct, Dennis Rodman did marry himself, though it was in 1996, not 1998. Finally, it was pretty awesome that the guy who lost (I won’t reveal who) was not happy about it. He didn’t get mad or anything, but I could tell by his face afterwards that he was displeased. As a guy who has been known to not talk to his wife for an hour after losing to her at putt-putt golf, I certainly appreciate other people who are as competitive as I am.
