Jayson Stark to Make Appearance at Shibe Sports

Here’s a great opportunity to handle some of your Christmas shopping early for any baseball fan on your list: the best baseball writer in America, Jayson Stark, will coming to Shibe Sports next Tuesday, November 25th at 5:30 p.m. to sign copies of his latest book, Wild Pitches. In addition to signing the book, he’s also going to open up the floor  for questions about the book, baseball, and the Phillies starting at 6 p.m. If any of your friends are big baseball fans, please help spread the word! Wild Card Week Continues Tonight

If you’re hoping to earn an invite to Sunday’s Big Event at the City Tap House and didn’t earn an invite, there’s still hope…you just gotta pull off a win this week. There’s no place better to earn a win than at O’Neals, where things have been wide slam open lately. Action starts at 8 p.m. The legendary Mohammad in the kitchen, and a $50 gift card for the winners.

With a win this week, you can earn an automatic invite to the shindig. Two good chances tonight. We start at North Star at 7 p.m. Inkspot has been hot lately, but it’s anybody’s ballgame. On to Sidecar at 9:30. Wide slam open. Anyone can win. Best of luck!

JGTAI Final Scores Are Posted!

Here they are, folks! FInal scores to this year’s JGTAI. Teams in Yellow made the first team, and will get an invite and have a chance at a bonus prize. Teams in orange made the cut and will receive an invite. The two teams in red earned an automatic invite a few weeks ago. Teams in light purple are on the bubble…if teams ahead of them decline an invite, they could still get one.

The event will be next Sunday at the City Tap House at 5:30. More details are coming soon. If you have not made the cut, there is still hope. This is wild card week, and teams that win this week earn an automatic invite.

We start things off at the Markets at Comcast at 5:30 p.m. These quizzes are a lot of fun. Laid back, you get $5 off whatever you want to eat at the market there (and they’ve got good food) and it’s BYO (and they’ll provide the ice.)

On to O’Neals at 8 p.m. Been a little quiet the last couple of weeks, leaving open a great opportunity for a win. Not only is that JGTAI points, it’s a $50 gift cert, one of the highest on the scene.
