We’ve worked out some audio tweaks, and I think the show is really getting funny. We talked about Charles van Doren, and how much I would need to be offered to cheat on Jeopardy (and how doing so would ruin my quizzo career). We also discussed Guy Fawkes, Vlad the Impaler, what animal you’d take into space, and why our wives don’t listen to our podcast.  If you haven’t already, be sure to like us on Facebook as well.

My buddy Nat “The Truth” Jones and I used to host a radio show together on the Eastern Shore of Virginia 15 years ago. Well, thanks to the wonders of mondern technology, we can do so again, despite the fact that he lives in Boston and I’m here in Philly. So we’ve decided to make this show about worthless knowledge, and more specifically, worthless knowledge that happened this week. You can grab the podcast off of itunes here. On this week’s show (our 2nd), we discussed Sir Walter Raleigh’s head, which his wife carried around in a velvet bag for 29 years after he was decapitated on October 29th, 1618. The Sistine Chapel ceiling painting was completed on November 1st, 1512, so we discussed which would rather see: Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel or MIchaelangelo, the 6-foot tall crime fighting turtle. It’s a pretty entertaining podcast, so I hope you’ll subscribe. We’re gonna do a new one each week. It’s time for the 13th Annual Halloween Spooktacular. Yep, we’ve been doing this one since the days of Frank Clement’s Tavern, since the youngsters playing at City Tap House were 8-years old, since Gervase was hosting quizzo, SINCE EVERYONE IN PHILLY KNEW WHO GERVASE WAS!

Anyways, as always, there will be questions about killers, zombies, vampires, and pure unbridled terror, and maybe even a bit of candy to give away. Action starts tonight at Sidecar at 9:30 p.m. Only gonna do one quiz this week. (We’ll be back to two quizzes next week.) Hope to see you at quizzo this week…if you DARE!

As we head into the 2nd half of the season, things are starting to get interesting. Here are our scores. A few teams went all out on last week’s Facebook challenge and chalked up some serious points. I just posted a new challenge on the page if you’re looking to rack up some points this week.

No quiz tonight due to what’s going on at North Star and the Eagles game. I’m only writing one quiz this week and we’ll operating our normal schedule Tuesday-Thursday. Your best shot to get a win? That’s a tough one. We see the most parity at Industry, though Imaginary Pablo blew it out of the water there this past week. The Tap House is a gamble, as when the Jesters don’t show up, it’s anyone’s ballgame.

So get your a-squad together and get out to quizzo this week, as we head down the home stretch, and only the best teams will earn an invite to the Big Event on November 22nd.
