The Legendary WID, who nearly started a riot at Quizzo Bowl IV, has waited 6 years for his redemption. This year, he gets it. One of the funniest men in Philadelphia, he is nothing short of genius. I am extremely excited to have him on board for the afterparty, which will also be a celebration of ten years of quizzo. We will have tons of giveaways, a Q&A with Fastball Bob, and of course, lots of TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb. This is going to be one of the wildest events you ever attend.
A Note to All of the Haters
A lot of haters out there be sayin’ that I won’t be able to out-bedazzle Johnny Weir with my outfit at Quizzo Bowl. That he’s JUST …TOO…MAGNIFICENT. I won’t deny that Weir has stepped his game up big time (especially today), and has put the rest of us flashy sportcoat wearers on alert with what can only be described as a gold medal performance. But this ain’t my first rodeo, and he’s not the first challenger to the throne. Just you wait, people. Just you wait.

Dress for the High Seas at Quizzo Bowl X
We are definitely going with a nautical theme at Quizzo Bowl X, and I highly encourage teams to dress with a nautical theme. Whether that means pirate, mermaid, captain, or pompous jackass preparing to sail with a popped collar and a sweater around his shoulders, that’s up to you. Quizzo Tonight
You know the deal. A few french fries, a little name that tune, and Voila! The most entertaining night of the week. Action starts at Industry at 6:30 p.m. where last week we were rockin and rollin, and folks got their first glimpse of lil’ Ace Goodtimes. Word is getting out about the Industry quiz: awesome food and great beer specials.
On to Bards at 9 p.m. We’ve been quizzin there for over 10 years, so we must be doing something right. Hope to see ya tonight!
Quizzo Bowl Afterparty
The Afterparty is more important than ever this year, as Quizzo Bowl is gonna be a full day affair. And I’ve hooked us up with the perfect space: The Lodge at Winterfest, a pop-up bar by the guys who do Morgan’s Pier. An awesome space (gets a perfect 5 on Yelp), with lots of room for our crowd, great beers on tap, cheap but good food, fire pits and s’mores. And it’s walking distance from the ship! Your New Favorite Band, TJ Kong & the Atomic Bomb, Will Be Playing at Quizzo Bowl X
If there’s one thing to be said about Quizzo Bowl, it’s that I take the appointment of what band to pick pretty damn seriously. They have to set the tone for my biggest night of the year, they have to be creative, they have to be fun, and they have to be insanely talented. From Nate Wiley and the Crowd Pleasers to Welcome to My Face, one of the things I’ve been proud of over these past ten years is that the music on the show has always been absolute Grade A. And seeing how this is the 10th Quizzo Bowl, the grandest of them all, it was imperative that I pick a band that could live up to my (and your) outsized expectations. I have done so. Those of you who have seen TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb will vouch for me here: this will be one of the most ass-kickin’, honkey tonkin’, jive-talkin’, tightrope walkin’ bands you will ever see in your life. I have already told the insurance company to be prepared because they may very well tear the roof off of the sucker. For those of you who will be seeing them for the first time, I’m just going to tell you this in advance: you’re welcome.
