Action starts at the Vous at 6:15 (word on the street is that it’s already a sellout). If you can’t get in, don’t fret, I’ll be at Founding Fathers at 8:30. I suspect there will be a few questions about taxes. See ya tonight!
JGTSpI Updates
Some interesting developments in the JGTSpI. Here are your scores (this doesn’t include last nights action). Inkspot has taken a commanding 11 point lead halfway through the season. After them, there is a glut of teams vying for the remaining spots. Teams in yellow are up for a bonus prize to be given out the night of the Big Event. The Big Event will be Sunday, May 24th at the City Tap House (outdoors if the weather is nice).
There is a very fun and rather simple Bonus Challenge up on the JGT Facebook page right now. An easy way for teams to earn up to 5 bonus points in the event. I highly recommend you get on it.
Looking to score more points? I’d say that things are pretty up in the air at both spots tonight, O’Neals and the City Tap House. Might wanna slide into one of them to make the magic happen. See ya this week!
Tripleheader Tonight
We kick it off at the Comcast Center at 5:30 p.m. $100 worth of prizes for the winners, $5 food vouchers to everyone who plays, and it’s BYOB.
On to O’Neals at 8 p.m. Great opportunity to get a win, plus $5 nachos and $3.50 Mexican beers.
On to City Tap House at 10:15 p.m. Been anybody’s ballgame the past few weeks, and first place is a $100 gift cert. Might wanna get your butts back in there. See ya tonight!

Tonight, JGT Will Dive from Over 80-Feet Above the Industry Bar
Inspired by this video he watched earlier today, Johnny will fearlessly jump from a makeshift diving board over 80 feet above the Industry into a kiddie pool. “I plan on standing on my hands and then performing a flawless dive into a shallow pool of water. Either that, or I will be fearlessly asking trivia questions into a microphone. I haven’t decided which.”
So be sure to show at Industry at 6:30 to find out if Johnny is going to do a handstand at 80 feet above the ground (or maybe just ask some trivia questions.) Great craft beer specials each week, and of course terrific food. On to the Bards at 9:15 p.m. (assuming Johnny survives his death defying dive!) $3 Lagers. Hope to see you tonight!
Philly’s Most Infuriating
We’ve got a pretty fun bracket going on over at Shibe Sports on Facebook. Mike Missanelli or Mike Vick? Howard Eskin or Rod Barajas? Jimmie Johnson or Tom Coughlin? First round voting ends tomorrow afternoon, at which point we’ll move to Round Two. Let’s find out who drives Philly fans crazier than anyone else on earth.
Update on Shibe Sports
Having a lot of fun over at Shibe Sports. We’ve been bringing in a “Stadium Series” which so far consists of two shirts, the Palestra and Shibe Park, which are selling so fast we’re having a hard time keeping them stocked. Even better, we’re going to be getting in a new Spectrum shirt in a couple of weeks. And the design looks AWESOME.
If you want to support local ownership, local artists, and local screenprinters, swing by the store (It’s on 13th Street, between Walnut and Sansom). We’re not only doing sports shirts. We’ve started doing a couple of old local brewery shirts, which look awesome and have been doing great. We’re going to veer farther down that course in the near future.
And this isn’t a stuffy old men’s club, either. We’ve got a lot of women’s shirts and plenty of baby gear. So come by the store or check us out online (enter code “Shibe” if you want to get free shipping on anything you order). We’ve got a pretty cool thing going.
Quizzo Tonight
Action starts tonight at O’Neals at 8 p.m. A wild card round that WILL NOT GO OVER WELL with the O’Neals crew. But an audio round that will. That same wild card round should go over fairly well at City Tap House at 10:15 p.m. Definitely bring along a few female friends who don’t normally play quizzo. They should be a big help. Hope to see ya tonight!
