Food and Drink Week Returns
One of our most popular weeks returns, as we’re going to gorge ourselves on food and drink knowledge. From Julia Childs to julienning, from Kool-Aid to Cristal, we’re gonna cover all the bases this week at quizzo. We’ll quiz on the food network, cooking techniques, and as one notable game show calls it, “potent potables”. Action starts at O’Neals at 8 p.m. and moves to City Tap House at 10:15 p.m. See ya tonight!
JGTAI Scoreboard Is Up! Finally!
Yes, I have been a complete and total slacker for the past few weeks. But here it is, the updated scoreboard with one regular season week and a wild card week separating us from the Autumn Invitational on November 20th. Now, some teams have had a few name changes, so if I have counted you as two different teams just let me know and I’ll fix it. Next chance to earn points? Tonight at North Star bar. No clear cut favorites there. A great way to get your team in the mix. Film and television quiz. Action starts at 7 p.m.
He’s Going to Shock the World
We had a ton of fun at the wrestling quiz last night, where one of the questions was about the worst entrance in the history of professional wrestling. It was of course the Shockmaster’s entrance, where he fell face first, and his glittery storm trooper rolled off. Here is the video of the entrance, followed by Dusty Rhodes discussing it. Part of what’s great about it is Davey Boy Smith in the background, saying “He fell flat on his ass. He fell flat on his f—ing ass.” An amazing moment in wrestling history.
Wrestling Quizzo This Sunday!
Alright, rasslin’ fans, this one is gonna be real to you, damnit! My buddy Bryce is a ref for Chikara Wrestling and we’ve been talking forever about doing a wrestling quiz. Well, now’s the time. In anticipation of their huge High Noon Event on November 13th at the Asylum Arena at 7 West Ritner, we’re going to do a pro wrestling quiz this Sunday. Questions will cover all aspects of pro wrestling, from finishing moves to entrance music to great matches. All pro wrestling will be covered, but there will be an emphasis on the 1980s and 90s, primarily WWF and WCW. But don’t worry, underground fans, we’ll work the AWA and ECW into the mix as well.
Action goes down at the POPE this Sunday at 7 p.m. In addition to prizes for our winners, we’ll also have prizes for best Wrestling outfit and best wrestler impersonation. This is gonna be a ton of fun, or my name ain’t Johnny “The Mouth of the South” Goodtimes.

The Explosive Finale of Little House on the Prairie
This week at quizzo I asked a round on worst Series Finales. One of the questions was, “What show about a tight knit family in Walnut Grove incredibly concluded in 1983 with 10 minutes of non-stop explosions?’ The answer of course was Little House on the Prairie. (What else?) I added a little music for ambiance (NSFW). If you’d like to see the full last ten minutes, click here. It’s mostly just more crying than what I included, but then at the end they more or less tell robber baron Mr. Lassiter to “Go F— himself”.
