The Basic Details of Quizzo Bowl XIII
Quizzo Bowl XIII is fast approoaching (Yikes!) and here’s how we stand now.
WHO: You and your team of up to 8 players.
WHAT: Quizzo Bowl XIII, the most prestigious quizzo event on earth and quite possibly in the universe.
WHEN: February 18th at 8 p.m.
WHERE: World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut Street.
WHY: Why not?
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS? $200 for a table of up to $8 players, or $30 apiece.
WHERE DO I GET TICKETS? You can purchase them online here, or if you want to save money in fees, you can pick them up from me on consignment at one of my weekly quizzes.
WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY: We’ll have live music from the Newspaper Taxis, there will be tons of giveaways all night, and over $1000 worth of prizes for our top 3 finishers.
IS IT GONNA BE FUN? Of course it is.
IT BETTER BE. It will be.
HOW CAN I KNOW THAT? Well there will be plenty of teams there that have played it every year for like the last 10 years. There typically aren’t a whole lot of new teams on any given years because the regulars always want to play. The band sounds terrific, and there will also be the usual nonsense from me, Fastball Bob, and a special video round presented by Chip Chantry.

Beatles Cover Band The Newspaper Taxis to Perform at Quizzo Bowl XIII
Excited to announce that our musical performers for Quizzo Bowl XIII will be a Beatles cover band called the Newspaper Taxis! Check them out above at a performance at the Ardmore. The guitar player on the left, Bob T., has played in Quizzo Bowls past. Excited to have them on the big stage for our 13th Quizzo Bowl spectacular.
All Football Quiz on Friday!
In anticipation of the Super Bowl, I will be hosting an all-football quiz Friday night at the Skygarten on 1717 Arch! People have been asking me for awhile about doing a sports quiz. Well here ya go. All football (American), pretty much all of it from the Super Bowl era. Gonna be a lot of fun. And if you haven’t been to Skygarten yet, that’s pretty cool too. 51 floors up in the air. Oh, and it’s on my birthday, so you’re going to buy me beers. Kick off is at 7 p.m. Hope to see ya there!
