Last Losers Quiz Tonight at North Star

We had a lot of fun with the Losers Quiz last week. But in case you missed it, you’ve got one last shot tonight. We’ll be doing it up at the North Star Bar at 7 p.m. As always, I’ll have drinks to give away via name that tune, and the place has plenty of parking on site in case you’re coming in from Center City or West Philly. Toots and the Martells Win Twin Peaks Quizzo

A great night at the POPE on Sunday night, as Toots and the Martells proved that they knew move about Twin Peaks and David Lynch than anyone else in Philly, though not by a whole lot. We had a lot of fun with this one, and I’ll post some of the questions in the coming days. But Toots only missed 4 questions the whole night, and answered all of the bonus questions correctly, to finish with a 117 and edge Garbanzo, who finished with a 112. Best team name prize went to Leo Johnson’s Ponytail.

Some Overrated/Underrated Questions From Last Week

Here’s some of the Overrated/Underrated questions from last week. I’ll be posting a bunch more in the coming days.

8. Jon is a big fan of Canda’s capital city. What is it?

9. This 1985 film starred Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd and took place in Russia. Rodman thinks it is underrated. What is it?

10. The three boys on this show that Chris thought was overrated were played by Zachery Ty Bryan, Jonathon Taylor Thomas, and Taran Noah Smith.

All New Loser Quiz at French Fry Thursday Tonight

Losers week has thus far been marked by upsets, Bob Seger, and gummy worms. It only gets better tonight. Action starts at Ugly American at 8 p.m. Looking for a win? This is your best bet. No dominant teams. Also, $2 Lagers and $3 fries. On to the Bards, where we had a great turnout last week and had a lot of fun. Action starts at 10:15 p.m. $2 Lager Lights and $3 Fries. Also, if we get decent turnouts, we’ll see the return of French Fry Thursday. Hope to see you tonight.

Loser’s Quiz Tonight


We busted out the loser’s quiz last night at quizzo, and it turned out to be a heck of a lot of fun. We do it again tonight, starting at the Locust Rendezvous at 6:15 p.m. 4 of our Top 12 teams call this bar home. If you’re ready to play with the big boys, this is where you can make it happen. Two teams headed in opposite directions call the Black Sheep home. What’s Good for the Puma has been red hit lately, at the expense of Duane’s World. Can Duane’s World exact revenge? Or will your team rocket out of nowhere to take the crown? We find out tonight at 8 p.m. Like I said, a very amusing quiz this week. Don’t miss it.

Twin Peaks Quizzo This Sunday at POPE!

It was one of the most brilliant shows in television history. (Well, for a season at least. Then it kind of flew off the handle.) But that first season was so brilliant, so strange, and so much fun that we’re dedicating a whole quiz to it. (Well, almost. We’ll also do a round on David Lynch himself, some questions on Fire Walk WIth Me, and some of his other work.) This quiz is going to be a lot of fun. It’s going down this Sunday at 8 p.m. at POPE and is sponsored by Evil Twin Brewing Company. I don’t know where this quiz will lead us. But I have a definite feeling it will be somewhere  both wonderful and strange.
