Dunno if you’ve seen those Liberator New Catheter ads on TV, but they are pretty priceless.
Some comedy friends and I decided to respond to those ads with our own advert, this one extolling the virtues of used catheters and blasting our competitors who only offer new catheters. Enjoy!
It’s that time again folks! The most wonderful time of the sports year. March Madness is upon us, and it’s time for an annual tradition: the JGT Bracket-tacular. Here’s how it works. CLICK HERE to enter. (You will need to sign up for a Yahoo account if you don’t have one. Don’t worry, it takes like 30 seconds.) You then fill out your picks. All picks must be submitted by Thursday at 11 a.m. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy the tournament, and root for your picks, because we’ve got some sweet prizes.
First Place: $75 gift certificate to City Tap House
2nd Place: $50 gift certificate to O’Neals
3rd Place: $25 gift certificate to Locust Rendezvous
Mystery Bonus Prize: $50 gift certificate to Plough and the Stars. I will announce what this prize is for once the games start on Thursday.
Good luck!
Week One scores are posted. Teams in the yellow are in the top 10 (remember the Top 10 teams are in the running for a $100 bonus gift certificate). The other teams all scored points last week. No-one did the physical challenge, so I am leaving it up and also offering a 2nd physical challenge. That means that for one week only you can score an incredible 8 bonus points. That will not happen again. Week 2 begins tonight with an 80s quiz at the Khyber at 7 p.m. To be honest, that should be an easy win for anyone who gets a halfway decent team together. If you’re looking to play with the big boys, I recommend the Westbury at 9 p.m.
As you’ve been reading throughout the week, I asked quizzo regulars Mike Minion, Junior, and Koob to submit their favorite and least favorite movies that won the Best Picture Award. They’ve all three agreed on Casablanca as one of the five best films to win Best Picture. (I disagree, btw. I think it’s way overrated.) There is also one film they all agreed was one of the worst: Dances With Wolves. All three of them hated this film. Of course, part of the reason they all hated it is that it’s a bad movie that knocked off one of the greatest films of all time. Here are their comments, as well as the one Best Picture winner Mike Minion refuses to watch.
