Here they are, folks, the final scores in the JGTAI. Teams in orange have been invited, teams in grey have accepted invite, and teams in blue are on the bubble, to take anyone’s place in case they can’t uphold their Invitational duties. Shoutout to Quiz Quiztie for winning the whole damn thing. If anyone has any questions or concerns, shoot me a line. Invites will be going out this weekend, and remember that next week is wild card week, so there’s still a shot to make the cut.

Quizzo Tonight
Yes, we are on for tonight…we kick it off at Sidecar at 8 p.m. and O’Neals at 8 p.m. Both very winnable spots. General quiz this week. Make it happen!
15th Annual Halloween Spooktacular!
Believe it or not, we’re in YEAR 15 of the oldest tradition in the JGT arsenal: the annual Halloween Spooktacular. All questions about demons and goblins and ghouls. Also skeletons. And death. And mayhem. OK, OK, you know what Halloween is, you get the picture. Anyways, gonna be a fun time as always, with lots of candy to giveaway and of course anyone who dresses up earns their team 3 points in the JGTAI (up to 15 points per team). Here’s this week’s schedule:
TUESDAY
O’Neals 8 pm
Sidecar 8 pm
WEDNESDAY
Locust Rendezvous 6:15 pm
Founding Fathers 8:30 pm
THURSDAY
Industry 6:30 pm
Birra 8 pm
Bards 9:15 pm
JGTAI Scores
Here ya go, our updated scores! Shout out to There’s No I in… who earned 8 points for being the only team to attend my comedy show. AHEM. (cough). AHEM. The NEXT one is November 20th and I would HATE for the rest of you to miss it.
There are still four weeks left to earn points, so if you’re not in the green, you soon can be: there’s a brand new Facebook picture challenge. It’ll be fun to see pics of you guys in the 90s.
Still working on a venue for the big event, but I’ve got a real promising lead for something I think is going to be Ultra-Fun. I hope to announce it on Monday.
Time Change for Quizzo Tonight
Action starts tonight at Locust Rendezvous at 6:15, as usual. But due to the Sixers season opener, we’re going to push the Founding Fathers quiz back to 9:15 p.m. Might also be a bit hectic with seating. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up to be patient as we make the switchover. See ya tonight!
1990s Week Begins Tonight!
JGT and Chip Host “We Have Fun” on Monday Night
Kweder Crackhead from Johnny Nottingham on Vimeo.
If you would like to hear one of Philly’s most brilliant minds talk about mankind’s 4.5 billion year plan to leave the solar system before the sun blows up, if you want to hear about Johnny’s Little League baseball team (literally the worst one ever assembled in sports history), and if you’d like to hear Philly best rapper try to rhyme over Yacht Rock beats, then DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW. Monday at 9 p.m. at Good Good Comedy Theatre. $5 a ticket, and it’s BYO, so feel free to bring booze.
We debuted it last month, and had a ton of fun. An entire crowd clapping and singing along to “Crackhead” by Kenn Kweder was pure magic (above), and Chip and my discussion of an actual riot at one of our shows went quite well.
This month, we’ll talk about another disastrous show we did a while back, we’ll have another crowd sing-a-long, and we’ll work in a bit of trivia. If you are free Monday night, want to be part of something really fun, and want to support local comedy, come check us out.
Quizzo Tonight
Hey gang, just a heads up about tonight’s quizzes:
Quiz at the Industry at 6:30 is a 100% go. $3 beers, great happy hour specials until 7, terrific food, Name That Tune, and a GREAT opportunity to get a win. Totally wide open.
On to Birra at 8. As of now, we’re on, but with the Birds game coming on, we’ll play it by ear. If we get a decent crowd out for the quiz, we’ll do it. If not, we’ll come back next week. Bards at 9:15 is also a GO for tonight. Hard to know what to expect. If it’s a rabid Eagles following that will lose their shit if they turn off the audio, we may can it, but it’s not a huge sports bar so I think it will be OK. Either way, if you’re looking for GUARANTEED action tonight, I’d go with the Industry.
As for the shirt above, before there were the Eagles, there were the Frankford Yellow Jackets. Philly’s first NFL team played in the Northeast and actually won the 1926 NFL title. If you’re interested in the shirt, click here, and as always, you get free shipping with the checkout code “Quizzo”.
