Yes, I am running way behind this week. And tomorrow I’ll be “out of the office” all day. But I promise to catch up over the weekend. This has honestly been the busiest non-Quizzo Bowl week I think I’ve ever had, but I should return to a life of leisure in the next week and get all caught up. I am shooting this thing for Comcast tomorrow. I’ll let you know when it’s gonna be On Demand. Gonna take a while to edit and stuff. As for Quizzo Bowl, things are looking good. Unless this thing falls through, I should have an announcement before Christmas. In other quizzo news, The Jams won their 5th straight last night, so there will be a $20 bounty on them next week. . Finally, the last I heard, the Quizzo Documentary was progressing nicely, and the crew is hoping to have it premiere at the Philadelphia Film Festival. As for tonight, we’re back on at the Good Dog. 8 p.m. Bards at 10 p.m. Hope to see ya tonight.

Gonna be kind of light posting this week. Working on a project for Comcast which should be fun but is going to take a lot of work in the next few days, so somethings got to go. Gotta couple of meetings this afternoon (with FOX and Comcast, no less. What happened to the idealistic young firebrand who read Noam Chomsky and railed against The Man? I am such a sellout.) In the meantime, here are ten great TV ads for infomercial type stuff.

The first ever Bowlizzo went exceedingly well, despite the fact that Sofa Kingdom (AKA Spiro Agnew Kids on the Block, as all team names had to deal with either bowling or Richard Nixon) emerged victorious with a 239. They were aided by not only their trivia skill but by Koob’s bowling, as he had the 2nd highest roll of the night. The Tricky Dick Pins finished 2nd with 228, and RIchard Nixon’s Putting Challenge finished 3rd with 225. The Putting Challenge had the highest bowling average of the night, a 125, aided in large part by one team member’s 212. The real story of the night was 4th place finishers I Am Not a Hook, who had the highest quizzo score with a 118, but the 3rd lowest bowling score, a 90. Bowling scores were done by averaging the scores of all six players on the team, and total scores were determined by adding that to their quizzo scores. The lowest bowling score was an 82 recorded by Tricky Dick and the Dickettes, and the lowest total was I Don’t Roll on Shabbos with 173. Full scores after the jump.

WHEN: Tonight (Saturday). 7:30 p.m.
AVAILABILITY: The lanes have sold out, assuming everyone is coming who says they are. But I do have availability for a couple of duos if anyone wants to join a team. If you do, please let me know ahead of time.
WHY: All the proceeds will go towards the Rec Center where I volunteer.
FOOD AND DRINKS: Yes, I’ll have a couple of kegs. If you think you need more to drink, feel free to bring it. As for food, we’ll be selling meatball sandwiches for like $3 a pop.
TRANSPORTATION: The Broad Street Line is like 3 blocks away. Get off on Oregon, go one block north and two blocks west.

Ok, so first off a quick drink after quizzo turned into a last call situation. Haven’t closed down the Bards since the Phils won the Series, so I was probably due. Anyways, we are down to two lanes left at the first annual Richard M. Nixon Memorial Bowlizzo Spectacular. I also have a couple of duo spots available, so let me know if you and a friend wanna play on a team. If you’re gonna play, better hit me up asap. Also, had a meeting this morning about Quizzo Bowl. Looks promising, but hey, so did the Kimmel before they pulled the rug out, so I’m not going to get ahead of myself. But the meeting went well and I should hear something soon. Will let you know as soon as I do. Alright, scoreboard coming soon.

• First of all, you guys have to watch this, a BBC documentary on violent crime and drugs in North Philly. Wow, this is incredible.
• A couple of notes of interest on Totalphilly. First of all, a brief history of General McClellan who celebrated his 182nd birthday yesterday. Also, how Nike is trying to squash the beef between Beanie and Gillie da Kid. Ridiculous. Finally, the S&M love triangle that took place in Philly and what my S&M name would be.
• And remember, no quizzo at Good Dog tonight. Quizzo at Bards at 10 p.m. Sofa Kingdom will not be there, so you’ve got a good chance to win.
