Tonight: Four Rounds Four Topics, and a Joker

Gonna try something a little different tonight. Gonna go with four rounds, four topics, and 1 point per question…with a joker. Why? Well, why not? As an added bonus, I’m going to give you the four topics, all of which were selected by our . They are: Books that were turned into films, Science, Edgar Allan Poe (today is his birthday), and shipwrecks. Should make for an interesting quiz. Action starts at Ugly AMerican at 8 p.m. $2 beers, and $3 fries. We move to Bards at 10:15 p.m. $3 fries, and $3 beers. Makes for a fun cheap night out. And I’m kind of excited about this quirky quiz. Interested to see how you guys do on it.

Quizzo Tonight; and Should Donkey Punch Have Been Accepted on Jeopardy?

Back in action tonight. Things have been packed lately. A lot of fun. We kick it off at O’Neals at 8 p.m. $50 gift certificate for the winner. On to the City Tap House, where the gift cetificate is worth an astounding $100. Action starts there at 10:15 p.m.

In other trivia news, on Jeopardy last night, there was an answer that got Alex chuckling. The clue was, “A blow to the back of the neck is the punch named for this animal.” Mike answered “Donkey”. It was marked wrong and the answer they wanted was rabbit. But wait, isn’t “donkey” correct and the question flawed? Yes. Mike should have been given credit for his answer. A donkey punch is named for an animal and is a punch to the back of the neck. The fact that it occurs during sex is inconsequential. It is exactly what the question asked for. Mike should have been awarded $800, and Betsy should have had it taken away. Incidentally, pretty crazy that the round was “Punch” a week after my “Punch round” that did indeed include the answer “donkey punch”.

Quizzo Tonight

Alright, back in action tonight, and I’ve got plenty more questions from you guys to help make up one of the rounds (I might even make it the impossible round tonight.) I can still take one or two more questions if you got ’em. Kick it off at Ugly American at 8 p.m.  $3 fries and $2 brews. On to the Bards at 10:15 p.m. $3 fries and $3 brews. Gonna be a good quiz. Hope to see you tonight!

Quizzo Tonight

Interesting quiz this week. I’ve used your questions to make the wild card round, and I got so many questions from you guys it’s gonna make up tomorrow night’s wild card as well. Really getting some awesome questions. If you’ve got any trivia questions to send me, feel free. I might use them tomorrow.

Tonight, we kick it off at Locust Rendezvous at 6:15 p.m. We move to Black Sheep at 8 p.m. See ya there!

Quizzo Tonight

What a strange week. I thought we’d be dead all week, but after a slow Tuesday, both bars were packed last night. Always hard to predict these things, but I hope we get a few folks out tonight as well. Gonna be an all new quiz, so if your New Year’s Resolution was to play more quizzo, then you can play again tonight. Why not? We start at Ugly American at 8 p.m. $2 beers and $3 fries. On to the Bards. $2.50 brews and $3 fries. Tough to beat. Speaking of tough to beat, there seems to have been a power shift, with Steak Em Up attending more often at Ugly American. That has left somewhat of a power vacuum at Bards. Can your team fill it and start the year with ungodly quizzo power?

Quizzo Tonight

It’s the most quiet week of the year. Everybody is taking some downtime after spending their money and attacking their livers over the holidays. I get it. But let me remind you friends, the holidays are not over. The 12th day of Christmas is not until January 6th. There is still some celebrating to do. And furthermore, your New Year’s Resolution was to play more quizzo. You told me that on New Year’s Eve! Don’t you remember? Maybe not. You seemed kind of drunk. But you did. You said. Now don’t fail at your resolution already!

We start at the Rendezvous at 6:15 p.m. $3 Bass Ale pints and $2 Rolling Rocks. We move onto the Black Sheep at 8 p.m. Five different winners in the past five weeks. Can you make it 6 for 6? No gimmicks this week. No music rounds, no year in reviews, no picture rounds. Just 40 solid trivia questions, weighing a bit heavy on geography, but not too much. Might want to take a good long look at the above map before playing tonight. Hope to see ya then.
