But good news…you’ve got an excellent shot of winning at the Industry tonight. An amazing 8 different winners in the past 8 weeks at Industry. I don’t know if we’ve ever had a streak this long in quizzo history. Wide open. Action starts at 6:30. $3 Brooklyn Ales and $3 Sunshine Pils. Can’t beat that. Just getting back from my 20th year High School Reunion. Had an awesome time, and actually hosted a Senior Year quiz, with all questions being about popular shows, movies, and music of our senior year. Hmmmm, I wonder if any of those questions will work their way into tonight’s quiz?

We start at the North Star at 7 p.m. Half off mussels and hummus, and $3 Kenzingers. Twisted FIster has established themselves as the team to beat. Can you knock them off and propel yourself up the standings and up the JGTSI scoreboard. On to Sidecar at 9:30 p.m., where we’ve had a bit more parity, with 3 different winners the past 3 weeks. Week 7 of the JGT Summer Invitational kicks off at North Star at 7 p.m. Half off mussels and hummus. On to the Sidecar at 9:30 p.m. Special guest host the Sandman fills in. Wild card round is a mystery round. Hope you can make it out tonight!

First of all, want to wish happy trails to one of my favorite people on the quizzo circuit. Skins has been a member of the Sidecardigans since day one. One of the friendliest and most creative people in Philadelphia, and I’m honored to call him a friend. I’m sorry to see him go, but I wish he and his wife the best of luck in Florida.

Happy 10th anniversary to BJ and Laurie! They started playing my quiz shortly before their marriage and still occasionally make it out, now with their daughter Lucy. Two awesome people, and incredibly smart to boot. They finished 2nd last night as a 2-player team.

Week 6 of the Invitational wraps up tonight, and if you’re looking to earn a win, this is your best chance of the week. Industry continues to have more parity than any other venue on the circuit, so if you’re looking to get into the mix in the Invitational, and you love terrific hamburgers and $3 beers, then you should be there at 6:30. On to the Bards at 9 p.m., where Lagers are $3 and you’ll have a shot to knock off the number 1 team on the circuit. Name that Tune and French Fry face-off tonight…don’t miss it!

OVer 60 people came out in the middle of a monsoon to play Harry Potter quizzo in one of the biggest shows of nerddom I’ve ever seen (and trust me, I’ve seen plenty). In the end it was Weasley’s Ripped My Flesh edging Slytherin’s Got Crabbes and That’s So Ravenclaw, 52-50-49.

Decided this time to hold out on physical challenges until the back end of the invitational, so they would carry more weight and create a bit more of a race for the finish line. So the first one is posted…a picture of you or members of your team jumping. You can earn up to 5 points this way (the equivalent of a win). As for the Invtitational, it will be August 25th at the City Tap House at 6 p.m.(outdoors if weather permits), and as usual will feature lots of prizes and live music. So get your team together and start earning those points!

Mixing it up a bit this week, with a 5 round quiz of 8 questions each. Been a fun little change of pace.
