I’m teaming up with Historic Philadelphia Incorporated this week to add a little intrigue to this week’s quiz. I’m going to be using some questions their historians have provided for the Wild Card Round, and I’m gonna have tickets to all sorts of fun stuff to give away, from the Betsy Ross House to the Franklin Square Mini golf.

Action starts tonight at North Star at 7 p.m. Can you knock off Careless Fister and Inkspot, both of whom acquitted themselves quite nicely at last night’s quiz? On to Sidecar at 9:30. With the Sidecardigans in disarray since Skins left, things there are now wide open. Lots of giveaways tonight. I’ll also have some t-shirts to give away from the upcoming show Million Second Challenge. Hope to see ya at the quiz!

WHY: Why not? Let’s have the teams from all our different bars hang out, have a couple of cold ones, listen to some live music, and play a little quizzo.

HOW MUCH: $10 per person. (Gotta pay for the band and the prizes. And make the millions that allow me to carry out my extravagant lifestyle.)

WHAT’S THE WEATHER LOOKING LIKE? Don’t want to count our chickens before they hatch, but as of right now it’s looking like it’s gonna be pretty much perfect.

DRINK SPECIALS? Yes. Absolutely. Dunno what they are yet, but Andy always hooks it up.

WHAT’S THE BAND? O-20. An old school hip hop cover band. Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Biggie, etc. And there are rumors that JGT may be dropping a dope verse or two of his own. Though those are only rumors.

The JGTSI wraps up with a VERY winnable quiz at Industry, followed by some hot quizzo action at the Bards. The Industry quiz kicks off at 6:30 p.m., and with 9 different winners in the past 9 weeks, it is truly anybody’s ballgame. Great burgers, great fries, and $3 craft beers. That’s tough to beat.

On to the Bards at 9 p.m. to close out the week. $3 Lagers.

Oh, and some fascinating Quizzo Bowl developments in the past few days. Some really, really cool stuff going down. Hate to hold back but I can’t announce anything until it’s secured in stone. But trust me, I’m working hard to make sure the tenth one is gonna be unbelievable.

Well we’re down to the final four quizzes. And with a night in the upper 70s staring us in the face Sunday, you really need to aim for an invite to Sunday’s event.

Six quizzes left to earn yourself a spot in Sunday’s event at the City Tap House (action will start at 6 p.m.) Live music, drink specials, and a lot of great trivia outdoors on a beautiful summer night. So come on out tonight for a rather interesting quiz, where one round will be honoring the fact that this website debuted on August 19th, 2003, and a rather amusing 50/50 round. We start at O’Neals at 8 p.m. $5 quesadillas and burritos, and $3.50 Mexican beers. On to City Tap House at 10:30. Looks like it’s gonna be a gorgeous night…let’s do it outdoors.

A big week at quizzo this week. Looks like we’re gonna have a heck of a day for an Invitational on Sunday, so you’re not gonna want to miss out. So how do you earn a spot if you don’t already have one? You just have to win this week. And good

news…both of tonight’s quizzes are very winnable. Things have been fairly quiet at both North Star and the Sidecar lately, meaning that your team has an excellent chance of coming up big tonight. Action starts at North Star at 7 p.m. $4 Kenzingers, half off mussels and hummus, and Name that Tune. On to Sidecar at 9:30 p.m. Dollar off all bitter beers and with Sidecardigans team numbers slipping since STeve left, the door is cracked wide open. Can you take advantage?

 

Here they are, the final scores for this year’s invitational. No teams really worked their way up the charts this past week other than Mapother, who had a huge week to earn an invite. Invitations will be sent out today and tomorrow.

If the weather channel is to be believed it looks like we’re gonna have a great day for the Invitational. Drink specials, live music, and a great evening outdoors. It’s gonna be a lot fun. But if you didn’t make the cut, you’ve still got a chance. This is wild card week, and any team that wins this week will earn an automatic berth at the Invitational. So get your butts out to quizzo. There are a number of them this week that are very winnable.
