“Do I have any fascination with the moon landing? No. None whatsoever. Frankly, I am still not convinced the entire thing was not staged. This month’s show just happens to land (pun intended) on the 40th anniversary of man first walking on the moon,” Chantry said.

Those of you who are missing the Chip Chantry One Man Shows at the Khyber, you are honestly missing some of the best comedy in the city. Next month’s show promises to be another classic. Check out the video above to see why. More details to follow in the next week.
Chip Chantry One Man Show On Monday!
Hey kids, we’ve got a very special Chip Chantry One Man Show at the Khyber on Monday (8 p.m.), with some great local comedians. Aaron Hertzog, John Kensil, and Eric Todd will be performing, as will 1920 Comic, who will be travelling back through time to entertain you! Finally, we know we keep promising (and we keep letting you down) but this month I swear there will be a return of the Wheel of Terrific. If you have not seen this show yet, I highly recommend it. It is a blast.
Fastball Bob
Dave over at Comicvsaudience got some video of Fastball Bob’s performance Monday night. And while, with this kind of thing you can’t really capture the energy in the room, you’ll get an idea of what Bob is all about. Camerawork is a little shaky, but you get the picture. Speaking of ComicsvsAudience, I am gonna be one of the comedians on their May 4th show at the Shubin. So if you’ve ever wanted to see me crash and burn while doing stand up, here’s your chance.
You Simply Have to See This
For those of you who have never seen Fastball Pitcher Bob Gutierrez and want to laugh your asses off, I highly suggest you make your way to the Chip Chantry One Man Show tonight at the Khyber (2nd and Chestnut). There were literally 10-15 people crying they were laughing so hard the last time Bob appeared on the show, myself included. Well, by extremely popular demand, Bob is back on this show this month, and he’s going to be giving a motivational speech and take questions from you, the good people of the audience. The cover is $5, and this month all of the money goes toward the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Show starts at 8:30 sharp. Hope to see ya there. Seriously, trust me, you really want to see Fastball Bob.
Chip Chantry in Action Tonight at the Shubin
If you’re looking to let off a little pre-Quizzo Bowl steam, be sure to check out my arch-nemesis in action tonight. Chip Chantry and Doogie Horner (also very funny) will be recording a DVD of their standup stylings at the Shubin (407 Bainbridge) at 10 p.m. Tix are a mere $10. For more details, click here.
Johnny Goodtimes to Host Chip Chantry Zero Man Show!!!
Hey kids, just got a call from Chip, who told me that he is sick as a dog** and he can’t make it to his own show tonight. However, the show must go on, and will therefore be hosted by me (above, being punched in the face as an adolescent). Now, I know what you’re thinking: “This is some sort of put-on by Johnny and Chip and then Chip is going to show up halfway through the show and pretend like he’s sick and yadda yadda yadda.” No, we’ll probably do that next month, but this month it’s for real. So we’re gonna put the Wheel of Terrific off until next month, and in the meantime we’re adding Philadelphia’s Funniest 2008, Kent Haines to the show. That is in addition to Steve Gerben, who was named Philly’s Funniest by Helium Comedy Club in 2007. That’s two of Philly’s funniest for the price of one, and should counter the damage done by me, Johnny Goodtimes, who was named Philadelphia’s Least Funny Man for three years running (2004-2006). So, the story is this: Show starts at 8:30 p.m. sharp. Drinks at the Khyber are ridiculously cheap (I think PBR is like a buck a can.) It’s gonna be a good show, and it’s only $5 to get in. And most importantly, if it goes well, I can tell Chip that he isn’t really needed anymore and I can become the new permanent host of the Chip Chantry One Man Show! I’m drunk with my newfound power. Braw-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Underground Legend “Wheel of Terrific” on Chip Chantry One Man Show Monday!
The Wheel of Terrific is the most ridiculous game show ever created, and response through the years has been…wildy varying. There are some who absolutely love it and find it hilarious. And then there are hipsters, who hate it. So will it be a crowd delight on Monday night, or will it fall flat on it’s face? Who knows, but either way, you win! In addition to the Wheel, there is gonna be comedy from Adrian DiGiovanni from Chicago, Julie Smith (from New Jersey!), sketch group Secret Pants, and headliner Steve Gerben. And I’m gonna tell the story of how I almost got my ass beat at quizzo last night. The first two shows have been AWESOME, and I think this one will be no different. For more info, click here.
