Where are you from originally?
Hurricane, West Virginia. I guess this is a real shibboleth to living in WV, it’s pronounced the British way, “HURR-uh-kuhn”.
List three of your favorite places in Philly.
Doobies Bar, the Mann Theater, and Royal Izakaya.
What one album would you want with you on a desert island?
The Bends by Radiohead. It really runs the gamut.
What reality show would you be an absolutely terrible contestant on?
The Amazing Race. I don’t pack light, I often get lost, and I always get in the wrong line.
What would be your theme music if you were a professional wrestler?
“Mambo Sun” by T. Rex. It’s so smarmy and slick.
What famous person do people tell you that you look the most like? When I was younger I used to get Bud Cort a lot (Harold from Harold and Maude) but that’s morphed into 70s Paul McCartney. I hope they mean the decade of the 70s and not his age. Whatever the case, I don’t really see either of these.
What would be your dream job?
I worked in live event management here in Philly for the last decade. I think I’d go back into that in any capacity that allowed me to be around live music all the time.
What was the worst job you ever had?
Easy. I painted outhouses at a campground one summer.
What’s your favorite dessert?
I don’t have the hugest sweet tooth but when there’s apple pie and vanilla ice cream I’ll have some. No cheese on top. What an odd and offputting way the northeast chose to gild the lily.
