Quizzo Doubleheader on Sunday?

Some of you have attended Noah Tarnow’s Big Quiz Thing at the World Cafe Live in the past, and know that it can be a lot of fun. Well, get this: he’s doing one this Sunday at 8 p.m. At the World Cafe Live, which is a mere 10 blocks from City Tap House. I talked to him recently and told him we’d be wrapping up around 8, so if he could hold off until 8:30, we’d probably get a couple of teams there. He said, “Sure.” So if any of you junkies want to double up on exciting quiz action on Sunday night, I wanted to make sure you knew about this, taking place right after the Invitiational. He runs a very good quiz.

A Wild, Wild, Wildcard Week Wraps Up Tonight

Huge upsets at nearly every quiz this week. I don’t recall another week like this one in recent memory. Part of it has to do with the fact that this is a tough quiz this week. It keeps scores down, but it also improves the chances of an upset.

We start at Industry at 6:30 p.m. It’s was rocking there last week. Let’s do it again tonight! $3 craft special and terrific food. On to Bards at 9 p.m. Can you know off the Jesters? This could be the week. $3 Lagers. See ya tonight!

Quizzo Tonight

We start at Locust Rendezvous at 6:15 p.m. $3 Sierra Nevada’s and $2 Mooseheads. On to Black Sheep at 8 p.m. Can you knock off the red hot Sea Nuggets and earn an automatic invite? See ya tonight!

Wild Card Week Rolls on Tonight

We start at O’Neals at 8 p.m. $5 for a dang quesadilla and $3.50 for Mexican beers. $50 gift cert and an automatic invite for first place. On to City Tap House at 10:15. Can specials each week and $100 gift cert for the winners. Here we go! See ya tonight!

Here it is: your last chance to earn an invite to Sunday’s big event. All you need to do is earn a win this week. Tonight offers a good chance. We start at North Star at 7 p.m. $3 Kenzingers. On to Sidecar at 9:30 p.m. Dollar off bitter beers. Both quizzes are very winnable. See ya tonight!

Here ya go. Our final scores after 8 weeks. Savage Ear gets the regular season win. Teams in blue are eligible for bonus prize. Teams in red also make the cut. Teams in green are on the bubble: if teams ahead of them cannot make it on Sunday, they will get the invite. Invites will go out tomorrow for the event, which will take place this Sunday at the City Tap House at 6 p.m.

If you didn’t make the cut, fear not. This is wild card week. Any team that wins this week earns an automatic invite. So I’m saying there’s a chance.
