This Week’s Topic: Animals

Week 2 of the Spring invitational begins tonight with an all new quiz (this week’s 2 quizzes will be Monday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Thursday). The theme for the week is ANIMALS. From dinosaurs to sea creatures to sports mascots to Eric Burdon, we’ll cover it all. Gonna be a fun week.

I did a pretty interesting piece on the Philly Post this week about the Hoosiers of PA high school hoops.

And here’s a fun piece in which I went to the library to see what they wrote about Wilt’s 100 point game the day after he did it. The political headline I found (posted at the bottom of the story) is going to blow your mind.

Mad Men Quizzo Coming Soon. At a 60s Bar. It’s Gonna Be Awesome

We’ve done a quiz for The Wire. We’ve done a quiz for Twin Peaks. It’s time to do another one of the greatest shows in TV history. Mad Men. I am a huge fan of the show, and have been wanting to do this for a while. So it’s going down a few hours before the season 5 premiere. On Sunday, March 25th at the Trestle Inn (11th and Callowhill), we’re going to find out how much you know about Don Draper, Roger Sterling, Peggy Olsen and Madison Avenue in the 1960s. This is going to be an insanely fun quiz, and we’re doing it at a bar that specializes in 60s cocktails. I specifically wanted to host it there so we could catch that 60s vibe, and the Trestle Inn is perfect.

In addition to quizzo prizes, we’re also going to give a prize for best Mad Men outfit. Action starts at 5:30 p.m., so we’ll be done and drunk off martinis before heading home to see the season premiere at 9 p.m. Please click “Like” below to help spread the word. I have almost as much respect for this show as I do for The Wire, so I plan on writing an equally awesome quiz. Don’t miss it.
