This is Great

The team above at City Tap House had the team name Johnny Depp Ain’t Got S*** on Michael Bolton. Incredibly, in the 4th round of this week’s quiz, there was a question, “In 1983, Laura Branigan had a hit with this song How Am I Supposed to Live W/o You? Who had a hit with that same song in 1989?” The correct answer was Michael Bolton. They got it wrong.

French Fry Thursday

We kick it off at Ugly American at 8 p.m. Looking for a win? This is probably your best bet. No prohibitive favorites here, and $2 Lagers. Bounty Bowl Tonight

Ok, so the bounty on the Jams is up to $35. (They were no-shows last week.) Anyone who can knock them off and takes first will be sitting pretty. $3 Dundee Honey Brown Pints and $2 Lionshead. Action starts at 6:15 p.m. On to the Black Sheep, where last week the Missing Heads set a new record by blowing a 20 point lead heading into Round Four to lose by 10. First off, we kick off tonight with the quiz at O’Neals at 8 p.m. $3.50 margaritas and a $50 gift certificate for the winner. On to the City Tap House at 10:15 p.m. Big prizes, $3 Sly Fox.

Keep in mind: there is a $35 Bounty on the Jams at the Vous Wednesday night. Also, next week is going to be Ladies Week. All questions will be about famous women, and the things that women love. Which, needless to say, could get me in a lot of hot water and derided as a sexist. But hey, that’s half the fun! Hope to see ya tonight!

The rioters attempted to set fire to the theater, at which point the state militia showed up and began firing into the crowd. When the dust settled, more than 20 people were killed and over 100 injured. What was the name of the Opera House where this famous riot took place?

Simpson’s Quiz on Sunday

Hey kids, just a reminder for all you Simpsons fans that there will be a Simpsons quiz this Sunday night at 8 p.m. at the Ugly American hosted by Mike Minion. All questions will be from the first ten seasons of the show. There will be a picture round and, since it is Mother’s Day, a round on mothers on the show. Plus the UA will be doling out their always great beer specials. May 8th at 7 p.m.
