The CGI graphics in this video must have cost a fortune, but it was money well spent. The video makes Avatar look like stick figures. However, it raises some questions. Like, how was Ocean able to keep singing as his car was filling up with water? And why is that duck carrying such a huge boombox? Also, after watching this video for the first time in years, I came to the conclusion that it’s about picking up a prostitute.
I never realized how sexist this song really is, a la Dixie's Midnight Runners “Come on Eileen.” Billy Ocean essentially extolls the virtues of his heterosexual masculine privledge and orders around the object of his desire, fully expecting her to comply.
