Kick it off at O’Neals at 8 p.m., as #5 ranked My Dog Peed on my Eagles Jersey goes for their 3rd straight win. Meanwhile, at Bards, the newly crowned #1 team in quizzo, Steak ‘Em Up, looks to defend their ranking. But uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, as we have had four different #1 teams in the past five weeks. Also, looking pretty hard at October 3rd or 4th as the date of our Fall Slam (Eagles are off that week, so might be a good Sunday afternoon activity). Still need to put together some details, but I think one of those dates will work. Any preference for a Saturday or Sunday?

Can't care less about the NFL. What the Phils are doing the first week-end in Oct. should be of Paramount concern.
Phils close out the season against the Marlins that weekend. I'm hoping that series won't mean anything…
Phillies game is in the evening.
Barring a Mets-type collapse, the Phils-Marlins game will be meaningless. I'm more worried about the playoffs, which start the next weekend. Of course, the other thing we could think about would be having the event, then watching Phils playoff game. Going to go talk to the guy now. I'll keep ya updated.

Yeah, again, unless you have a hankering to see what Eric Bruntlett and Matt Stairs can do with 4 at bats, that game will be meaningless. But if it means something I can push the start time back on the quiz.
