Literature Quiz Tonight!

libraryFans of literature should not miss tonight’s quiz! In an effort to help promote the Free Library Festival that is going on this weekend, we’re going to be doing a literature quiz tonight. 3 of the 4 rounds will be all-literature related (with a non-literature WC round thrown in for good measure). Action starts at the at the Ugly American at 8 p.m., and moves to the Bards at 10:15 p.m. Hope to see ya tonight!

State of the Quizzo Union

jgtlogo5Just a quick note to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about the Power Rankings. There will be a brand new ranking on Monday, and it should be interesting. Since the Quizzo Bowl, Lambda has been non-existent, Steak Em Up’s dominance at the Bards has hit a few roadbumps, and there seems to be a power vacuum at O’Neals. Bottom Line: Things are wide slam open for a new team to ruffle some feathers. The bars were packed 2-3 weeks ago, but have been fairly quiet for the last week. Should be a good week to grab a seat. Needless to say, the intensity level is always higher when the crowd is larger.

As for tonight’s quiz: the first three rounds are easy, and the last round is pretty tough. Locust Rendezvous at 6:15 p.m., and Black Sheep at 8 p.m. Black Sheep was a little quiet last week, so this could be a good week to grab a table.

Head over to isportacus and tell us in the comments what you think the best place is to watch the Phils play. We’ll have a deciding vote tomorrow.

Mike Minion’s Quizzo Tonight

Here’s a quick note from Mike Minion about quizzo tonight. Ok, the first Monday there was a Nor’easter.  Next, there was Passover. Then, there was the NCAA championship.  But this week, there’s no excuse!  So I expect to see lots of you regulars at one of tonight’s quizzes.  If you have read the ongoing debate on JGT’s site, you’ll LOVE the Wild Card round.   If not, well, you’ll be amused anyway.  Festivities take place at Ugly American at 8 p.m. and at the Westbury at 10:30 p.m.

Ed. note: Thinking about playing tonight at UA. Anybody interested, shoot me a line. -jgt
