It’s a Wonderful Quiz Tonight
Our final night of It’s a Wonderful Quiz Week. This year’s quiz has proven to be a doozy. Tough music round, a fairly easy movie round, and a so-so impossible round. We start tonight at Ugly American at 8 p.m. $1 corn dogs, $2 Lagers, and $3 Fries. On to the Bards at 10:15, where we’ll have $3 fries and $2.50 beers. So come on out, have some holiday cheer, and see how much you know about the season. I’ll be once again wearing my Christmas finest.
It’s a Wonderful Life Facts
For all of you fellow It’s a Wonderful Life freaks out there, I dredged up some pretty cool stuff about the stars of the movie and some facts about the best Christmas film ever. Here are ten fun facts about the film you may not have known.
And in case you missed it last week, here are 10 Christmas ads taken out of the Inquirer in 1911 and 1961.
Quizzo for the Cause: Project HOME
In the spirit of the season, I would like to raise some money over the next two days at quizzo. I will be asking for donations at each quiz. 100% of the money raised will go to the Project HOME. Project HOME is a non-profit that provides housing, opportunities for employment, medical care, and education to the homeless. Here are some more details from their website.
The mission of the Project H.O.M.E. community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization.
