Kick it off at the Good Dog at 8 p.m. This is by far the quizzo with the most parity, with a new winner almost every single week.
On to the Bards at 10 p.m. Not so much parity there, but a chance to run with the big boys of quizzo, as you take on Philly’s least favorite squad, the Sofa Kingdom. Hope to see you tonight!

Happy Birthday Alf Landon! The loser in the 1936 presidential election would be turning 121 today. He actually died in 1987, at age 100. Which means that he watched Alf on TV. Presumably.

Kicking off at O’Neals (3rd and South) at 8 p.m., then off to the Bards (20th and Walnut) at 10:15 p.m. Hope to see ya tonight!

Hey gang, I used my iphone to take pics of last weeks winners. Unfortunately, that iphone was stolen over the weekend. $400 later, I got a new iPhone, but alas, no photos. However, all the teams that won have won at least once before, so I’ll post an old photo with a question underneath about something that happened on this date.

I was shocked, SHOCKED, at how many people have never seen Back to School, the Citizen Kane of Rodney Dangerfield movies as far as I’m concerned. It is a must see. And as you can see in this video, it was also the first and last time the Triple Lindy was ever pulled off successfully.

Been a wild week. The Kingdom goes down after 5 straight weeks, and the Jams tied for last yesterday after winning for 7 straight weeks. Then to top it all off, Duane’s World, who had finished in 2nd place in 5 of the last 6 weeks, won at the Black Sheep. More insanity tonight? We’ll see.
Good Dog. 8 p.m. If you go there, your team will win. I hear people whine, “It’s too hard to win your quizzo with the Kingdom and the Jams.” Trust me. It is not hard to win at Good Dog. In fact, I am personally guaranteeing a victory for your team tonight. Yes. Yours.
Bards. 10 p.m. Yes, the Bards are where the big boys hang out. If you got serious quizzo game, this is where you go to test your mettle.

Kicking it in Surprising Salisbury Maryland. Had a great weekend at home and am on my way back up now. Went to a cookout celebration for my homie Matt (who I mentioned in last weeks Metro article) who recently got engaged, officially making me the Last of the Mohicans. I hope somebody throws me a cookout if I go on a 3rd date. Anyways, I tried to convince Mary to marry me for the 100th time, still with no success, though I think I may be weakening her resolve. Spent all day yesterday on the Barrier Islands. Absolutely perfect day on the beach. Also won two games of bocce. Question of the week coming soon, then I’m back on the road again.

• Kicking off at 8 p.m. at O’Neals. Last week we had a shootout, with the Young, Old and Restless only missing one question but still needing overtime to win. It was their 3rd straight. Tonight they go for 4.
• At 10:15 p.m., we move to the Bards. Swanson (above) and the rest of Sofa Kingdom look to continue their recent hot streak. And possibly wear a tiara and hold a ketchup bottle. Who knows?
