Close one at the Black Sheep on Wednesday, a comeback win at O’Neals, and a big win for the Jams. But the choice for match of the week goes to the Bards Tuesday night, where Narcotyzing Dysfuntion became the 2nd team in JGT quizzo history to record a perfect score. The Narcs have long been the Sofa Kingdom’s chief rival on Tuesdays, and indeed the two teams were tied after three rounds on Tuesday. But the Kingdom recorded a mortal 42 in the final round, and the Narcs went 10 for 10, much to Johnny’s chagrin. Questions next week are expected to be extremely difficult.

Yes I know I am like a one man promotional vehicle for the place, but I promise I didn’t cut some sort of deal to host Quizzo Bowl there. I really do think that you gotta check this place off your Philly-to-do check list to see a fight. Just a quick heads up that yes, we will be having quizzo tonight at the Good Dog at 8 p.m.. The game will be on. As for the VP debate, well, I can’t really help you out there. I’m gonna be DVRing it.

Just a heads up. I’ll be watching the Phils game (I woulda gone if I coulda talked anyone into going.) Should be over around 6, so we should be good to go after that. But if it runs long, we could start a few minutes late. I know, I know, I’ve been a stickler for “starting promptly” over the years, so I hope this doesn’t upset anyone.

Make your own questions backfired last night, even though I thought the impossible round was pretty tough. The Narcotyzing Dysfunktion became only the 2nd team in JGT quizzo history to record a perfect score, finishing with a 119. Fittingly, they defeated the Sofa Kingdom, the only other team to ever pitch a no-no. Previously, the only other perfect score occurred in August of 2005. Goodtimes offered his warmest congrats to the Dysfunktion afterward: “Congratulations to the Narcotyzers on making history last night. Giving up a perfect game is like being the team that gets no-hit in a baseball game, but I am comforted by the fact that they were not all of my own questions. I suspect that next week’s quiz will be the most difficult one we’ve seen in years. Revenge will be mine.”
