We kick it off at the Rendezvous at 6:15 p.m. tonight. It was a little light last week for the first time in forever. This might be a good time to sneak in and get a win, though the Jams are in the midst of a 3 game winning streak. $3 Shocktop Pumpkin Ales and $2 Bud Cans. On to the Black Sheep at 8 p.m., where we really need a team to show up and give Duane’s World and the Sea Nuggets a little competition. It’s really become a two horse race at the Sheep. Our theme for this weeks quizzes: sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Pure debauchery all week long. (And by “debauchery”, I mean a bunch of nerds answering trivia questions about Led Zeppelin.)

We kick it off at the Rendezvous at 6:15 p.m. If you want to play with the big boys, this is where you play. Or if you want to $3 Brooklyn Lagers. They also have $2 Mint Chocolate Chip vodka shots. Now, I’ll be honest with you: I had a S’mores shot a few weeks ago after Erin and MaryKay told me how good they were, and, (Man, I hate to admit this publicly) they were pretty damn good. Dunno how the chocolate chip shot will taste, but after that S’mores shot I ain’t gonna judge. “Don’t judge a vodka made for teen girls til you’ve tried it” is my new motto.

On to the Black Sheep at 8 p.m. Duane’s World and Se NUggets are the two favorites. We’ll see if you can knock them off tonight.

OTHER NOTES: A team got busted with their phones out last night then got mad at me for not accepting the answers they wrote for the ones they DIDN’T cheat on. It was amazing. I won’t call them out, but if they cheat again I will. Here’s the deal: Once you cheat, I won’t let you win. Period. I might not even say anything to your team, I just won’t give you any points in the final round. Boom. You’re done. You wanna cheat at quizzo, go play somewhere else.

An all-new quiz tonight at North Star at 7 pm, and Sidecar at 9:15. Regular quiz this week, no theme. We’ve got $3 Kenzos and half off mussels and hummus at North Star. As far as earning JGTAI points, I’d say North Star, O’Neals, and Ugly American are your best chances to get a win. No superior teams at any of those 3. And I think there might be a few questions tonight about Vikings. Hope to see ya tonight!

We kick off at Rendezvous at 6:15, where they’ve got Widmer Shaddock IPA Pints and $2 Rolling Rock cans. On to the Black Sheep at 8 p.m. All kids questions. This is acutally the same quiz from earlier in the week. If you played already this week, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for a new quiz. As for tonight’s quiz, I’d expect a few questions on classic toys. A stacked Steak Em Up team finished 3rd in it last night. Will favorites Duane’s World and The Jams go down tonight? We’ll see.

I am actually headed to Pittsburgh tomorrow. Long story, but we were supposed to go to Detroit for their big Quizzo championships but the plans fell through. By the time they fell through, we already had hotel rooms in Pittsburgh we couldn’t cancel on. So a few of us said, “What the hell?” and we’re taking a road trip to Pittsburgh tomorrow. Gonna go to a Pirates game and then hopefully Fallingwater. Anyways, Mike Minion will be filling in for me and hosting his Young at Heart quiz on Thursday, so you are welcome to play again then.

Alright, now that the Fall Invitational is back underway, let’s bring back French Fry Thursday. At the Ugly American at 8 p.m. fries are only gonna be $3 and I’ll buy a couple of baskets in a little French Fry faceoff. At the Bards at 10:15 pm, we’ll do a little free fry “Name That Tune.” Hope to see ya tonight! Several food and drink questions.

Day 2 of the Autumn Invitational is tonight, as we start at O’Neals at 8 p.m., then move to City Tap House at 10:15 p.m. Got a two topic wild card round tonight. Might want to bring a sports fan…and a fashion fan.
