Apparently there’s an American football game tonight that involves a team of local youngsters that the denizens of this fine town are just wild over, so we’re going to have to make some concessions. North Star starts at 6:30 tonight, so we can wrap up in time for kickoff. There will be no quiz at Sidecar tonight. We’ll get back in business there next week.

Also, a heads up: the Comcast quiz will be tomorrow at the Market at Comcast Center at 5:30 p.m. GREAT opportunity to earn JGTAI points if you’re so inclined. And it’s BYO, they’ll supply the ice. So bring a bottle of wine or beer and play some quizzo. Plus everyone who plays gets a free $5 to spend at the shops there. It’s a great deal and a fun quiz.

Ok, so maybe there won’t be Ping Pong Robots at quizzo, per se, but the video above is pretty freaking amazing. Earlier this week, I had the question: Former #1 ranked player Tim Bollo nearly lost to a robot in what Olympic sport earlier this year? The answer was table tennis, and here is some video of that match. Prepare to have your mind blown.

As for quizzo tonight, we start at Industry at 6:30. Perhaps the funnest quiz of the week, with the added bonuses of French Fry Faceoff and Name that Tune. REcently voted the 3rd best bar in Foobooz, the food and drink is terrific.

On to the Bards at 9:15 p.m. It’s rockin’ every week. Get there early to assure yourself a table. See ya tonight.

 

THe last night of the Halloween Spooktacular is tonight, as we’ll talk ghosts, goblins, and horror at the Industry at 6:30 p.m. On to the Bards at 9:15 p.m. Halloween candy to give away, French Fry Faceoff, and $3 beers at both bars. See ya tonight!

Action starts at the Markets at Comcast at 5:30 p.m. It’s a BYO quiz, and everyone who plays gets a $5 gift card to the Markets. The winning team walks with $100 worth of gift certs. That’s a lot of good food (they’ve got DiBruno Brothers, LaScala, and Termini Brothers, among others). Very winnable quiz too, if you need JGTAI points.

On to O’Neals at 8 p.m. Another winnable  quiz. $5 bar food, $3.50 margaritas, and of course the man the myth the legend Muhammad in the kitchen. Winning team gets a $100 gift certificate.

We wrap it up at City Tap House at 10:15 p.m. In addition to the quiz, we’ve also got feats of strength, with the strongest getting a $25 gift certificate. Hope to see ya tonight!

Hard to believe but true…the longest running tradition in the JGT QUizzo aresenal continues this week. We’ve been doing this one since the days of Frank Clement’s. On to the Black Sheep at 8:15 p.m. Looking like Must Love Pogs will be bringing their A-team. Can Duane’s World hold them off? Or can your team be the next Freebola, the team that shocked the world last week with a win over Duane’s World? We’ll find out tonight.
