Where I’m Eating
You simply can’t go wrong with Joe’s Pizza on the corner of 16th and Sansom. Solid pizza from a Sicilian family that moved here 30 years ago and opened up shop. Glad to have them in Philly! Click to watch a short interview with one of the owners.
What I’m Reading
Last night while hosting for Lambda, AJ brought up the 2nd Story Men, who were part of the K&A Gang in the first half of the 20th century. Thanks to author Allen Hornblum they weren’t a Philly story that slipped through the cracks of time. He managed to interview several before they died and wrote a book about it. You can read a passage in this 2005 City Paper piece.
