The guitar player on the left, Bob T., has played in Quizzo Bowls past. Excited to have them on the big stage for our 13th Quizzo Bowl spectacular.

All Football Quiz on Friday!
In anticipation of the Super Bowl, I will be hosting an all-football quiz Friday night at the Skygarten on 1717 Arch! People have been asking me for awhile about doing a sports quiz. Well here ya go. All football (American), pretty much all of it from the Super Bowl era. Gonna be a lot of fun. And if you haven’t been to Skygarten yet, that’s pretty cool too. 51 floors up in the air. Oh, and it’s on my birthday, so you’re going to buy me beers. Kick off is at 7 p.m. Hope to see ya there!

Ray Didinger Book Signing
Hey gang, just a heads up that the great Ray Didinger will be at Shibe Vintage Sports on Saturday the 28th at 5 p.m. He’ll be talking football and signing copies of his Eagles Encyclopedia. The event is free and there will be free drinks provided by Manatawny Still Works.

Quizzo Bowl Tickets Now On Sale Online; On Consignment Next Week
Hard to believe but Quizzo Bowl XIII is now less than a month away, and tickets are now on sale. Here’s the deal for tix this year: you can purchase them online here. There’s a bit of a new ticket setup this year. They are now $30 for individual tickets OR $200 for a table (which is still $25 a pop). The reason is obviously to make me insanely wealthy to encourage larger teams so that we pack the place. Now, there is a $6 surcharge per ticket IF you purchase them online. That’s why, because I’m a god damn hero benevolent quizmaster, I will be selling them on consignment starting next week. If you buy on consignment, there are no surcharges at all. If it is easier for you to buy at the venue, you can purchase from the box office for just a $2.50 surcharge per ticket. Got it? It’s also first come, first serve on tables this year. So the sooner you buy your table, the closer to the rock n roll you can be. This event WILL sell out, so start organizing your team ASAP and get your tickets so you can be assured a space at the grandaddy of them all, Quizzo Bowl XIII.
