Wild Card Week Begins Tonight

The action kicks off tonight at North Star at 7 p.m. Any team who finishes first this week gets an automatic invite to the Invitational (and any team that finishes 2nd gets put on  the waiting list, in case we have any openings.) Two great chances tonight, as both the North Star and Sidecar have quite a bit of parity.

After North Star at 7 p.m., we’ll move it on over to Sidecar at 9:30. I’m actually in Virginia until tomorrow, so the Sandman will be filling in. Good luck earning a spot, and teams that have yet to RSVP for the Invite, be sure to get back to me.

JGTSI Scores With One Night Remaining!

Here ya go, our scores with but one night left to play before the regular season ends (wild card week will be next week. More on that soon.) Teams in green have received an invite. Teams in yellow I still need to get ahold of. And teams in blue are on the bubble. (The team whose name has been replaced with a black mark will be out of town next Sunday, and therefore all mentions of them have been purged from JGT Quizzo history.) For From Parts Unknown and Hooter and Chuff, this is possibly a big night.

As for next week, that will be wild card week. Any team that wins next week will earn an automatic invite to the Big Event, held Sunday, August 16th at the Urban Saloon at 5:30 p.m.

Quizzo Tonight

Action begins at O’Neals at 8 p.m. The Sandman hosts, as I’m headed down to the ballpark to see Jimmy Rollins first game back. He was my favorite player during the team’s 2007-2011 run, so I’m excited to be there for the return. First time I’ve ever paid hookie for a baseball game, but it’s one I really want to be a part of.

The Sandman is in charge at O’Neals and will do a good job. The wild card round is on robots. Since Philly kills them.

I will be there for City Tap House quiz tonight. Gonna leave the game early so we can make it happen. I believe we will be al fresco tonight, as it looks like a beautiful night. Hope to see ya tonight!

JGTSI Scores With One Week to Go

Well, we’ve got one week left in the JGTSI, and things are getting heated. Here are our scores. There are several teams in the fight for those last few spots, and the top 16 will be determined this week. The event is taking place on August 16th at the Urban Saloon. We’ve got several teams fighting for their first spot in an invite, but they’ve got some work to do. Teams like Game Blouses, Shades of Death, and Pop Shop all have a great shot but need big weeks to earn an invite. There is some good news on that front, however: an easy way to get some points is via Facebook Bonus Points, which you can earn right now.
