Maybe I have low standards, but I actually like SEPTA and think they give good service. As for the union, well, I'm a believer in checks and balances and the idea of competing interests, and the union is just doing what unions do. Their action may be ultimately self-defeating, however, since SEPTA has historically lost riders after these strikes, which will just make a bad financial situation worse.
As for the Yankees, may they be visited with plagues of boils and carbuncles, whatever they are, and stinging insects and bedbugs. A pox on them and their issue and may they be the cursed of the earth unto the ninth or tenth generation. And may they burn in hell for all eternity.
Once again, Bob has shown his lack of respect for unions, public transportation, actions, riders and the 103rd United States Congress. Like his tyrannically-minded brethren in the Republican Party, he is quite familiar with annoying insects, infectious diseases, skin lesions and hell.
And you can ride SEPTA straight to hell, BMT. You're even more of a blight than the Philadelphia Parking Authority, although admittedly less despicable than the Gosselins.
And what are you talking about? I heart public sector unions, public transportation and SEPTA riders. Sometimes I ride buses and trolleys just so I can be around them. And “respect” is my middle name.
Be careful, BMT. Be very careful. PalestraJon mixed it up with me on this website, and he's now a broken man, a shell of his former self.
What's wrong with the parking authority? They do a great job, and are usually quick to get the assholes who try to use metered spaces without paying. I just wish they could also ticket other parking douches, like double parkers, and people who park in shopping center loading zones and bus lanes, as efficiently.
I actually agree with you. I have no problem with PPA enforcement. It seems to be one of life's mysteries, however, what happens to all that money they collect.
Why hate SEPTA? Now, if you had ask for our opinion on the Transport Workers Union…

I already am a broken man so I have nothing to lose. And my middle name is “SEPTA” rider, so I'm one step ahead of you.

You guys must not own cars.
Or just avoid parking illegally. (I have a car, and have never gotten a ticket).
