Went to the Georgia Aquarium today and now I gotta get ready for the rehearsal. This came after last night when we went to a place called the Twisted Taco. It’s like a Southern Kildare’s. It was hilarious. Arthur Kade would love the Twisted Taco. Anybody got any suggestions for where I should go on Sunday when I have a free day in Hotlanta?
Anyways, this is the first wedding I’ve ever been in. I hope I don’t stand facing the wrong way or anything. I’ll have pics and scoreboard up tomorrow Sunday. For real.
Atlanta has some interesting places to check out, especially for a trivia guy like you. Trivia buffs cannot go to Atlanta without visiting Coca Cola World, which combines kitsch and carbonation—all you can drink (I think they have placenta flavor this week). The Battle of Atlanta Cyclorama is great for the history buff—I think there are only two of these paintings in the round left, but it's all there (Grant Park–next to the Zoo, which is one of 3 US zoos with pandas). Finally, you cannot go South without visiting Stone Mountain. Race up the granite with Stonewall Jackson staring down at you. They also have some interesting attractions—including an adventure course which has you running through ropes 40 or 50 feet up.
Get all that done in a day and come down to Buckhead and hang with the Manayunk-type crowd drinking mixed drinks—-better yet, go over to Little Five Points and suck down the local cheap beer with some friendly bikers. Have fun.
Go back to the Twisted Taco. That place sounds AMAZING. Kade-style, no less.
Braves in town?
