The person who wrote the following turns 67 today. See if you can guess who it was in the comments (no cheating!)
Leftists tend to hate anything that has an image of being strong, good and successful. They hate America, they hate Western civilization, they hate white males, they hate rationality. The reasons that leftists give for hating the West, etc. clearly do not correspond with their real motives. They SAY they hate the West because it is warlike, imperialistic, sexist, ethnocentric and so forth, but where these same faults appear in socialist countries or in primitive cultures, the leftist finds excuses for them, or at best he GRUDGINGLY admits that they exist; whereas he ENTHUSIASTICALLY points out (and often greatly exaggerates) these faults where they appear in Western civilization. Thus it is clear that these faults are not the leftist’s real motive for hating America and the West. He hates America and the West because they are strong and successful…Notice the masochistic tendency of leftist tactics. Leftists protest by lying down in front of vehicles, they intentionally provoke police or racists to abuse them, etc. These tactics may often be effective, but many leftists use them not as a means to an end but because they PREFER masochistic tactics. Self-hatred is a leftist trait.
Is It Just Me…
…or does the new Sherlock Holmes movie look nothing at all like Sherlock Holmes, and more like a crappy James Bond wannabe film set in the 19th century. As a pretty big fan of Sherlock Holmes and someone who likes Robert Downey, Jr., I am really bummed at how terrible this looks. It’s like director Guy Ritchie said, “Let’s make a movie about Sherlock Holmes but replace the high minded intelligence with explosions and sex.” Good thing Ritchie didn’t direct the Gandhi movie, or he probably would have had him jump the Ganges on a motorcycle with two hookers on the back.
Quizzo Tonight
We kick it off at the Ugly American at 7:30 p.m., where thus far nobody has put up a serious challenge against L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. Will they continue to be the only team to win at the Ugly American? We’ll find out tonight. Then to the toughest bar in quizzo, the Bards, at 10 p.m. We saw a minor upset there on Tuesday. Will we see another one there tonight? The Kingdom will be playing again without Garbo, who continues his one week suspension for knowing too much about Chick Lit. See ya tonight!
What War Movie Should Johnny Watch?
Ok, so I still need to watch Princess Bride, but I think I can do so tomorrow. So I wanna see if I can watch a war movie over the holiday. (If not, I’ll try to watch it next week). Above are 7 of the many war movies I have never seen, and want you guys to vote for which one I should watch for the first time.
Oh, Here’s to My Sweet Satan

Here are a bunch of songs which some people believe contain subversive or hidden messages when you play them backwards. In addition to the answer of one of this weeks questions, (Stairway to Heaven) there is are also a couple of them that people took to believe that Paul was dead (I’m So Tired and Revolution 9). Go here to find a bunch more clues that, when taken together, prove that Paul is dead. I also love the fact that the Pokemon rap has Satanic messages in it, and that Weird Al uses it on purpose.
Daily Quiz-Historical Populations
This one’s pretty cool. You name the ten largest cities in the US in 1800, 1850, 1900, and 1950. I got 33 out of 40. I should have gotten 35. There are four that are essentially impossible, since they are not thought of as their own cities.
Finally!
It had been a while since we had any good (and by “good” I mean “angry”) political talk on this site, and seemingly forever since Dark Horse John told Bob T to kill himself. Well, good news, political junkies, the conversation under the Malcolm X video took a turn for the interesting. I am hoping to get BMT, Hunter, and Palestra Jon in on this, and then it will be just like old times. If only Darth Ern was still online.
Happy Birthday Busta
One of the most unique rappers of the past twenty years is this guy, who turns 37 today.
Quiz of the Day: Pennsylvania Counties
Here’s a quiz on Pennsylvania counties. I scored a shameful 7 of 10. Let me know how you do in the comments.
Malcolm X’s Birthday
Today would be Malcolm X’s 84th birthday. I can certainly say that the Autobiography of Malcolm X was one of the most fascinating and important books I have ever read. If you haven’t read it, do yourself a favor. He is certainly one of the most intriguing thinkers in American history.
