We’re making it happen at the Locust Rendezvous (6:15 p.m.) and Black Sheep (8 p.m.) with an all new quiz. In case you missed the memo earlier, last week’s last place teams selected this week’s topics. They are pop culture, art history, video games, religion, public transit, and the 1980s.

Last night’s quiz included a question about the Billionaire Boys Club. Not many teams got this. It’s a pretty incredible story, so I think you might wanna check it out.

JGT Spring Invitational Update

This is the forcast for Sunday’s JGTSpI quiz, our first ever quiz outdoors. Pretty damn nice. Meeting with Kenn Kweder this afternoon to go over his music round. I have 9 teams who have RSVPed with a “Yes” so far (teams in peach have RSVPed Yes). I have not heard from the other teams. Please let me know ASAP if you guys can make it (email me at johnny@johnnygoodtimes.com). If I’ve not heard from each team by Thursday, I will give their spots away to teams on the waiting list. It’s going to be an epic quiz, and a beautiful evening to be outside drinking beers.

We start at O’Neals (FINALLY!) at 8 p.m. After a two week hiatus, we are back in business. $3.50 margaritas. And I’ve got a deal for you O’Neals regulars…since you missed the last two weeks of the season, I will give wild card births to the top 3 teams at O’Neals only. This event is shaping up to be a dandy. Details forthcoming.

On to City Tap House at 10:15 p.m. We’ve been rocking there lately, but with Penn graduation last week, I think we’re gonna slow down a bit. Could be a great shot to earn an invite. Definitelya great spot to earn a $3 Sly Fox.

Wild Card Week Begins Tonight

This week is your last chance to earn an invite to the JGT Spring Invitational. Here’s how it works: if you can earn a First or 2nd place finish at any quiz this week, you earn an invite to Sunday’s Big Event at the City Tap House. Tonight is one of your best shots to do it. Avenue Hustlas at North Star and Sidecardigans at Sidecar are your two favorites, but it’s anybody’s ballgame. North Star starts at 7, Sidecar at 9:15. Half off hummus at North Star, along with $3 Kenzingers. All bitter beers are a dollar off at Sidecar.

Final Springvitational Scores Posted

Here they are, folks, our scores at the conclusion of 9 weeks. Teams in the yellow are eligible for the bonus prize. Teams in green have earned an invite. I will contact you guys this weekend with your invites. Teams in orange are on the bubble…they have a very good chance of receiving an invite, since every time we do this a few teams can’t make it and other teams join forces. I’ll contact them once I’ve heard from the other teams. Teams in the blue, there is probably only one shot left to play in the Invitational and get to hear the legendary Kenn Kweder. You will have to finish in the Top 2 next week at one of the quizzes to earn a wild card birth. I’ll give you more info early next week.
