Steak Em Up. A loss on Thursday doesn’t knock them out of the catbird seat. Last week: #1

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. A win on Tuesday, a shocking loss on Thursday. Still, they move up one spot. Last week: #3

Grab Your Ankles, I Want to Put It Innuendo. I don’t remember any team playing their first ever JGT quizzo…and beating Steak Em Up. Who the hell are these guys? Does Steak Em Up finally have a rival? Last week: NR

Magnus ver Magnusson. Last week not even a blip on the radar, this week a Top 5 ranking. Funny what a win over the Jams can do for you. Last week: NR

Newman’s Own. The JGTQCS computer almost exploded this week, with another team playing for the first time pulling off a win, this time at Black Sheep. Furthermore, they make a hell of an Italian dressing. Last week: NR

Tube Sock. A 2 person team that had won a 98 Degrees CD just a couple of weeks ago for last place pulls off an Upset for the Ages at the Ugly American and finds themselves in the most prestigious power rankings on earth.

The Jams. Picked a bad week to lose by a mere 2. With so many upset winners they drop to 7th. Last week: #4

Duane’s World. A 2nd place finish at Westbury was acceptable, but a rare out of the money finish at the Sheep sends their stock tumbling. Last week: #2

Savage Ear. O’Neals former Lone Stars stuck in a 2nd Place rut. But at least Annie got her gift certificate. Last week: #6

My Couch Pulls Out But I Don’t. Another team comes out of nowhere to impress at the Black Sheep, losing by only two. Last week: NR

Also receiving votes: Inglorious Barristers, Phillie RNs, Unusual Suspects, Why Can’t Us, Crazed Sex Poodle, Pork Fried Rice, 1022

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. A blowout win Tuesday at O’Neals, a blowout loss Thursday at UA. They drop one spot. Last week: #2

The Jams. A narrow win at the Vous is their 3rd in the last 4 weeks. Last week: #3

Look Up Look Down Now I’m on a Horse. Despite a performance by Pong that has the JGT Ethics Committee looking into possible sanctions, 2nd place finish at Bards on Tuesday keeps them in the 5 spot. Last week: #5

The Savage Ear. A disappointing loss to the Diabetics drops them two spots. Pam can’t blame biased judges for this one. Last week: #4

Inglorious Barristers. Another heartbreaking loss to the Jams, this time by two points. Last week: #8

1022. A week after a big win at the Vous, they finish a distant third and drop a spot. Last week: #7

85 Kicks in the Balls. WHere did these guys come from? They come out of nowhere to finish 2nd at the Black Sheep. Do we have a new player at the Sheep? Last week: NR

Team Friendship. They add Steve-O but still can’t get past Steak Em Up. Last week: NR

I really can’t remember a time when we’ve had this much parity. New winners almost every week, and last week Steak Em Up squeaked out with one win and lost on Thursday. Makes for an interesting Top 10, and things should get even more interesting this week as we return to the Black Sheep.

Steak Em Up. They finally fall on Thursday, but they are still undoubtedly the best in the Biz. But with big crowds coming back to the Bards on Thursdays, can they remain on top? Last week: #1

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. A win at the American on Thursday helps them climb the charts into the two-spot. Last week: #3

The Jams. A 2nd place finish on Wednesday would have probably kept them in 2nd place on the JGTQPR, but a 3rd place finish drops them into 3rd by a few % points. Last week: #2

The Savage Ear. Two straight wins at O’Neals, though this one in overtime, moves them up a slot, and into the top 4. Last week: #5

Look Up, Look Down, Now I’m a Horse. This flashy young squad is setting the quizzo world on its ear. While many teams avoid Steak Em Up like the plague, these brash young upstarts aren’t scared to go mano-a-mano with the #1 squad in quizzo. This Thursday, they took the evil force down. It was beautiful, and I was happy to hand off the $25 bounty. Last week: #7

Duane’s World. A win, a 2nd place finish, and a 4th place finish. Say what you will about the World, they damn sure love the sport. Last week: #4

1022. Persistence pays off. It had been a while since they had won at the Vous, but this week they overcame three of the top 10 teams on the circuit in an extremely impressive win. Bob was so excited about the win he didn’t even tell me to shove it up my ass. Last week: NR

Inglorious Barristers. We’ve been wallowing in abject geekdom for too long. I love the fact that this young, suave, and sophisticated squadron has come in to liven up the quizzo scene a bit. But what’s up with all the 2nd place finishes? Last week: #6

Stop Eating Tuna. (aka Sandy Fauxginas). The come within one point of winning the $40 Bounty at the Bards. Can they pull the upset this week, and claim the $45? Last week: NR

Drillin and Frackin. He’s long been a champion of the comments section, but this is his first time in the top 10 in quizzo rankings: Palestra Jon and his daughter almost pulled a major upset at O’Neals. I’m quite certain that Bob will not pleased with this development. Last week: NR.

It’s great for the quiz circuit, tough on the old QCS computer. The first two picks are easy, after that it’s a doozy.

Steak Em Up. Been on a roll, but the bounties seem to be bringing back some big guns. Don’t think they’ll go unscathed this week. Last week: #1

The Jams. 3 wins in the last 4 weeks have the Jams sitting pretty at the Vous. Last week: #2

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. A tough loss at the UA on Thursday, but the 2nd place finish keeps them in the 3 hole. Last week: #3

Why Can’t Us World. How to rank these guys? Two perennial Top 10 teams combined forces at the American to pull off an upset over L. Ron, so I guess I’ll rank ‘em as one team this week. Last week: #8, #10

The Savage Ear. A dominant performance at one of the biggest blowouts in O’Neals history. Maybe if the Toddfather can rededicate himself to this squad, they can really start to make some noise. Last week: NR

Inglorious Barristers. One win and 2 2nd place finishes in the last 3 weeks at the Vous. The Jams are the only thing between this squad and elite status. Last week: #5

Look Up Look Down Now I’m a Horse. An impressive 105 at the Bards Thursday night wasn’t quite enough to take the title from the Steak Em Up. They might have been ranked higher, but Pong never got back to me about kickball. Last week: #9.

Phillie RNs. The Bad News: they lose by 28 at O’Neals. The good news: it was still good enough for 2nd, and good enough to keep them in the Top 10. Last week: #7

Narcotyzing Dysfunktion. Brought a solid squad to the Bards on Thursday. Unfortunately, while a 102 would have won at the UA, it only got them a 3rd place at the Bards. I have a funny feeling that they’ll break out of their slump in a big way on the biggest Big Money Tuesday ever. Last week: NR

Insert Topical Team Name Here. A 3rd place finish at UA keeps them in the top 10. And they’ll get their classical music round one of these weeks. Last week: #6

Steak Em Up. Sick of their rampage through the Bards, I have an announcement forthcoming about next Tuesday’s quiz that should get some more hounds on their tails. Last week: #1

The Jams. An easy win at the Vous last week keeps them in the 2-hole. Last week: #2

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. May have won on Thursday if I hadn’t of steered them wrong on a question. In a pathetic grovelling gesture to them, (and because all the other teams ranked #3 to #10 all lost) their consolation prize is a significant bump in the rankings. Last week: #8

Satan’s Minions. Could be a perennial contender, but don’t play enough as a team. Gotta admit, it was a wonderful blast from the past to hear Howard yelling “Eight! Eight!” every time I announced the weekly double. Last week: NR

Inglorious Barristers. Perhaps the best dressed team on the circuit, the Barristers style and profile up one spot in the rankings with a 2nd place finish at the Vous. Last week: #6

Insert Topical Team Name Here. Pull of a huge upset at the Ugly American on Thursday. After months of tinkering, has this team finally created the right formula for a consistent threat to L. Ron’s power? Last week: NR

Phillie RNs. Two straight weeks of upsets have wreaked havoc on the JGT QCS computer. The Phillie RNs come out of nowhere to pull a monster upset at O’Neals and climb back into the rankings. Last week: NR

Duane’s World. Ouch! Blowout losses at Westbury and Black Sheep slide Duane’s World down to the 8 slot. Last week: #3

Look Up Look Down Now I’m a Horse. A third place finish at the Bards drops them down the rankings a few notches. Perhaps they can get back near the top with an impressive drink-off win this Thursday. Last week: #5

Why Can’t Us. With Audra moved on to greener pastures, the two remaining ladies are still able to finish in the Top 3 at UA. Last week: #7

Steak Em Up. 3 wins last week puts Steak Em Up miles ahead of everyone else. We’ll see if a Bounty Tuesday night brings more competition to the Bards.Last week: #1

The Jams. Rarely does a loss move you up in the rankings, but the fact is that out of the top 6 teams, everyone lost except the Steak. At least the Jams lost in overtime. Last week: #3

Duane’s World. A rough week for the World (One 2nd, two 3rds, all by less than a question) would have been worse if more top teams hadn’t fallen this week. Last week: #2

Tooth Wind and Fire. Being idle pays off, as Tooth Wind and Fire keeps the #4 slot by standing still. Last week: #4

Look Up, Look Down, Now I’m a Horse. Continue to climb the ranks of the elite with a big win at Black Sheep on Wednesday. Last week: #7

Inglorious Barristers. Finally get that elusive first win, and with it, an entrance into the Power Rankings. Last week: NR

Why Can’t Us. Shocking upset at Ugly American. Will they be able to repeat and move up the ranks without Audra? Last week: NR

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. For the first time ever, they fall out of the top 3 at the Ugly American, and continue their slide from the top. Last week: #5

4th Estate. Come up a mere two points shy of a win at Black Sheep, and sneak into the power rankings. Last week: NR

Narcotyzing Dysfunktion. 8 straight 2nd Place finishes is, in some, ways, even more impressive than 8 straight wins. Last week: #10

Duane’s World. 2nd at Westbury, 3rd at Black Sheep wasn’t enough to keep their top position, but sister squad Eschaton’s win by 40 at UA keeps them in 2nd. Last week: #2

The Jams. A stunning 116 in a very difficult quiz rockets them up the charts. Last week: #6

Tooth Wind and Fire. Back to Back Jacks at O’Neals. The only thing that can slow them down is the Flyers. (O’Neals cancelled tomorrow night for friggin’ hockey.) Last week: NR

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. They take their show on the road, but it doesn’t pay off: they finish 3rd at O’Neals. Last week: #3

Catdog. 2nd win in three weeks at Black Sheep. Catdog is angling to make a move into the Top 5. Last week: NR

Look Up Look Down Now I’m a Horse. Continue to move up the charts with another 2nd place finish, this time at Black Sheep. Last week: #10

Magnus ver Magnusson. Out of the money at the Vous drops them all the way down to the 8th spot. Last week: #4

The Savage Ear. Slip sliding away. They were #3 two short weeks ago, but haven’t made the top 3 in either of the last two weeks. Last week: #7

Narcotyzing Dysfunktion. I’m fairly certain that the Dante’s 8th level of Hell is a quizzo game where the same team finishes in 2nd place every single week. Last week:#9

Duane’s World. A win at Black Sheep puts them in the #2 spot, though a 3rd place finish at Westbury indicates that they aren’t a serious threat for #1 at this point. Last week: #5

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. Would have fallen softly into the #2 spot, but a crushing 15 point loss drops them a few decimal points behind Duane’s World. Last week: #1

Magnus ver Magnusson. Knock off the toughest competition on the circuit to get back on the board. Last week: NR

The Champs. Decimate the Diabetics at the Ugly American. Can they repeat, or were they only in it for the money? Last week: NR

The Jams. A number two finish at the Vous knocks them back a few paces. Last week: #4

The Savage Ear. Ouch! What a difference a week makes. One minute they’re #3 on the circuit, the next minute they can’t finish in the top 3 at O’Neals. Last week: #3

The Four Cs. An impressive win at the Westbury over two high quality teams puts the Four Cs in the power rankings for the first time. Last week: NR

Narcotyzing Dysfunktion. If you like the movie Groundhogs Day, come to the Bards on a Tuesday and watch a team live it. ND, 2nd place again. Last week: #8

Look Up Look Down Now I’m a Horse. Another 2nd place, finish, the horses are starting to make a name for themselves on Thursday nights at the Bards. Last week: #10

How to rank them this week, with a Superteam running amok at Bards last week? The JGTPR computer came back with some interesting results.

L. Ron Hubbard’s Diabetics. Knock off a packed house at Ugly American last week. Their 6th straight win raises the Bounty to $25 this Thursday. Last week: #2

Steak Em Up. They barely win on Thursday to hold onto their top spot, but their refusal to participate in a postgame chug-off drops them from the top spot. Last week #1.

The Savage Ear. Continue to be the class of O’Neals. But with a higher purse bound to attract larger crowds, can they hold onto their power? Last week: #5

The Jams. Miss a perfect score by one question in the first round by not listening to Darth Ern and finish with a 118. But can they pull away from a tough pack at our most challenging bar? Last week: #7

Duane’s World: A nice win at the Westbury over Group W, but two losses by less than one question at Black Sheep and Ugly American. Last week: #4

Catdog: Rocket up the charts with a big win at Black Sheep. Last week: #10

Lambda: Take a week off and, due to some impressive performances elsewhere, plummet in the standings. Last week: #3

Narcotyzing Dysfunktion: If 2nd Place was the new black, the Dysfunktion would be the sexiest team in quizzo. Last week: #6

Inglorious Barristers. Four 2nd place finishes and three 3rd Place finishes in the last ten weeks without ever pulling off a single win. Gotta award consistency. Last week: NR

Look Up Look Down Now I’m a Horse. Take Steak Em Up to the brink on Thursday night, then challenged the Steak to a Chug off for all the marbles. (Steak Em Up declined.) Moxie is always rewarded in the power rankings. Last week: NR

Steak Em Up. Sort of weird week for them, as they played under three different names, but at least two members of what is now a glorified posse were in each win (including one at Westbury), so we’ll give them the benfit of the doubt. Three wins in a week propels them to #1. Last week: #3

L. Ron Hubbard. Another week, another win, but perhaps they need to double up another one of these weeks like they did last week to get back in the top spot. Last week: #1

Lambda. A two man win at the Vous, followed by a one man 2nd place finish at the UA. Yeah, Steve-O is an 80s freak, but still, mighty impressive. Last week: #5

Duane’s World. A second place finish at the Westbury and a 3rd place finish at the Black Sheep (and Eschaton’s 3rd at UA) drop the World two notches. Last week: #4

The Savage Ear. Get a week off due to the Flyers game. A bye week helps them nurse their injuries and return stronger than ever. Last week #4

The Narcotyzing Dysfunktion. A 110 would have won at any quiz last week…except Tuesday night at the Bards, where they lost to the Plastic Paddies by one. Last week #8

The Jams. A second place finish at the competitive Vous is enough to maintain the #7 ranking. Last week: #7

The Plastic Paddies. This team is at a crossroads. They can either declare themselves an autonomous entity free of Steak Em Up influence and become a major player in the game, or they continue to be sort of an offshoot republic still under the power of the Steak (in which case they won’t be back on the power rankings). There is some serious realpolitik going on here. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. Last week: NR

Supple Cowbell of Maury Buford. An incredible performance at Black Sheep this past Wednesday rockets Buford onto the top 10. The very rare one man win begs the question: what could they achieve with teammates? Last week: NR

Catdog. Good news: they’re back in the top 10 w/ a 2nd place finish at Black Sheep. The bad news: they lost to a one man team. Last week: NR
